To create the illusion of height, wear longer tops. Long tops also have a slimming effect because they "hide" the tummy. Long tops have always looked more flattering than short and mid-waisted tops. Do not wear short, thick shirts with these jeans, because short and thick give the illusion of depth and are not very flattering. You might want to try a black or navy tunic or empire waist top or even the peasant top look that reaches your mid-thigh. Dark colors have been known to have a slimming effect.
