Jeff highsided during the race with WERA to Beaverun in 2010. The EMS team Jeff had raised the air for a cup of coughing up blood. After a series of tests it was determined that Jeff bruised lungs and broken bones. Jeff said that the hospital staff performed additional tests on the search for fractures, as no one sees, bruised bodies without bones broken in a motorcycle accident. After confirming Jeff nothing broken, which led them to the armor that Jeff had been in an accident. He wore a KNOXConotur back protector, bodice and a full suit of Teknic Xcelerator KNOX KNOX Armor.
